What Your Role Requires

OB TITLE:       CREDENTAILING SPECIALIST – ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

REPORTS TO:  CHIEF HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER

  1. JOB SUMMARY / OVERVIEW

Provides professional and administrative support services. Performs the credentialing processes for all initial applications and reappointments of clinical staff in a timely and complete manner.

  1. PRIMARY DUTIES

Every effort has been made to include all duties; however, the omission of a specific statement of duties does not exclude the duty from the position if the work is similar, related or is a logical assignment of the position.

  • Schedule board meetings; create zoom meeting; compile and send monthly board packets including agenda.
  • Record and type board meeting minutes.
  • maintain systemic means of tracking board members terms, election of officers, approval and disapproval of policies, and compliance with board composition.
  • Process and maintain accurate, complete and up-to-date credentialing folders to ensure compliance with quality standards, FQHC and FTCA compliance.
  • Perform relevant data entry into the database to ensure consistency and integrity of the data.
  • Work independently utilizing the pre-established guidelines, policies, rules and regulations to ensure all accreditation requirements and standards, state and federal requirements are maintained.
  • Complete the processes to enroll and credential providers (e.g., physicians, facilities, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, etc.) with insurances, while meeting payor criteria.
  • Oversees, updates, and maintains provider credential database including CAQH, PECOS, NPPES Registry, or other applicable regulatory agencies
  • Communicate with clinical staff to obtain missing or incomplete information.
  • Review the Health Center Compliance manual and program assistance letters to ensure compliance.
  • Arrange meals for meetings and special functions.
  • Carry out special projects as assigned.
  • Maintain key log.
  • Schedule auditorium to outside organizations following the policy guidelines.
  • Scan documents for Human Resources.
  • Create and maintain events, attendance logs and documentation in learning management system (CareLearning).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS
    • Experience in credentialing within a healthcare setting is preferred.
    • Excellent composition and grammar skills are required.
  1. EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS
  • Must have working knowledge of general office procedures and office equipment.
  • Demonstrate ability to complete work assignments in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage work load.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and proprietary database applications.
  • Self–motivated, self-disciplined and able to function independently.
  • Able to positively represent PSHC to the public and business contacts.
  • Ability to deal effectively, in a positive manner, with a variety of people by telephone and in person, maintaining a composed and courteous demeanor.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage priorities and meet critical deadlines.
  • High level of awareness of pertinent details; excellent organizational skills.
