JOB TITLE: Junior Network Administrator REPORTS TO: IT Manager & Network Administrator
TYPE: Full Time
Job Summary / Overview:
Delivers help desk and technical support while contributing to EHR support, network administration, cybersecurity, and IT infrastructure operations. Guides end users through training and troubleshooting across desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals. Supports the deployment, maintenance, monitoring, and enhancement of technology systems, network infrastructure, and endpoint devices—including imaging, configuring, and installing computers, printers, software, drivers, and related equipment. Reports to the IT Manager & Network Administrator and carries out related duties and projects as assigned.
Essential Duties:
· Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, peripherals, Microsoft 365 services, EHR systems, and end users throughout the organization.
· Respond to incidents and help desk tickets in a timely manner, documenting work performed and escalating issues as appropriate to the Network Administrator or IT Manager.
· Diagnose and resolve PC-related issues, including hardware failures, operating system errors, software compatibility issues, and network connectivity problems.
· Diagnose and resolve issues with IT equipment and peripherals, including printers, scanners, monitors, webcams, docking stations, office phones, mobile devices, hotspots, and related technology.
· Deploy, configure, maintain, inventory, and retire computer systems and IT equipment throughout their lifecycle.
· Manage user accounts, devices, and access permissions through Active Directory, Entra ID, and other approved systems.
· Utilize remote monitoring and management (RMM) tools to provide support, deploy updates, and monitor system health.
· Assist with deployment, maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of wired & wireless network infrastructure, including switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless access points.
· Support network services and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, SSL certificates, and network access controls under the guidance of the Network Administrator or IT Manager.
· Assist with cybersecurity initiatives, vulnerability remediation, patch management, and compliance activities.
· Maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, asset inventories, and knowledge base articles.
· Support network-connected clinical, business, and virtualized systems while adhering to HIPAA, security, and organizational standards.
· Assist with audio/visual technology, remote site support, technology projects, and other duties as assigned by the Network Administrator or IT Manager.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- One (1) year or more of experience in technical support, systems administration, or networking preferred.
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Networking, or related field a plus.
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent certification a plus.

Computer Skills: Intermediate
- Knowledge of Windows and Microsoft 365 (Office) applications.
- Endpoint Troubleshooting: LAN/Wi-Fi, power, display, and other connectivity issues.
- Basic understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, LAN/WLAN, DNS, etc.).
- Familiarity with Active Directory and Entra ID for account and device administration.
- Familiarity with endpoint management and RMM tools.
- Basic PowerShell scripting a plus.
