Here in Hutchinson, you have options when it comes to your healthcare, and while certain procedures and treatments require a visit to the hospital, many do not. Since 1995, PrairieStar Health Center has been serving Reno County for minor emergencies, routine care, illnesses, immunizations, physicals, and more. Take a look at all the advantages PrairieStar has to offer.

Walk Right In

No appointment is necessary! We’re here for you when you need us. Come in any weekday from 8 am to 6 pm and be seen as quickly and efficiently as possible by a professional, caring provider. If you or a loved one experiences a sudden health issue like a sore throat, fever, or perhaps a sprained wrist from a fall that doesn’t require a visit to the emergency room, then come to PrairieStar.

Less Waiting

Who wants to wait in those long lines to get care when the average wait time at PrairieStar can be just a few minutes? We know your time is valuable and you have responsibilities. That’s why coming to PrairieStar for minor emergencies like illnesses, scrapes, and more makes sense.

More Affordable

We know the rising cost of healthcare is an important issue for our patients. As one of only 19 Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) in Kansas, PrairieStar is able to offer affordable healthcare.

No insurance? No problem! We use a sliding fee scale based on your annual income and number of people in your household to save you money.

Now people who don’t have insurance, as well as those who do, have access to affordable healthcare through PrairieStar. ER visits and primary care costs can add up fast, so why not take advantage of PrairieStar’s affordable prices for urgent care, illnesses and more?

We accept most types of insurance. Payment can be made with Visa or MasterCard for your convenience. We also offer language assistance services free of charge.

What else does PrairieStar have to offer?

Did you know about all of our inexpensive non-emergency care services? While many services require an appointment rather than walk-in service, PrairieStar is happy to provide an entire range of medical care including physicals, onsite lab services, x-ray, chronic disease management, select mental health services, pediatrics, and dental care, immunizations, employer drug screening and prescription drug programs.

All minor emergencies will enter through Walk-In Care, while some services do require entering through the main entrance. If you have any questions about PrairieStar Health Center or need care right away, visit us at 2700 E. 30th Ave. in Hutchinson or call 620.663.8484.
